Norman Rockwell made a certain standard of Santa in his Illustrations.....
Saturday Evening Post had a good quantity of his work but he started out by getting individuals to commission him to do Christmas Cards.....

Moral of the story....
You start out small but keep on trying ..... as long as you try and you have the drive you can accomplish anything....
Never settle...
Believe in yourself believe in your art and love the process.

I got inspired last Night...

I went to a gallery last night and saw some amazing work from one of favorite Russian Artists.
Original artwork from 1920s wonderful stuff...So happy I had the opportunity to see it....
Gave my mind some more creative flow....
Very Happy.

Plus I saw some of my artwork up that I did years ago at Caesars Palace.....Still Up and Running...

Last Night on the Rooftop of Mandalay Bay...

Today I want to Thank My Grandmother....And all my Family in Germany.

I want to thank my Grandmother and Family in Germany....
They were the ones who gave me (Panty Hose Card Paper to Draw on....)when I was 5 and up....
Taught me not to waste anything.....
My Family in Germany sent me so many cool paint kits and marker kits growing up so I could get really excited about doing art....It was so exciting when they sent me a package for my Birthday.....

You made a difference in my life.......

I thank you for it....
You gave me the tools to start out in life....

Mom and Dad ...its a given... You always supported me and I love you both for it!!!

I placed a glass Drafting Table in the gallery....

Now I can create some work while I am hanging out in the gallery.....I like the Reflections it gives to the room.....Creates a good energy around the room....

Painting now after I slept half the day....Got up This 7am this morning to do The American Heart Association Heart Walk

It was a great showing TONS of people in support....
Nice people out there.....everyone was friendly...
It got hot....104 by the time I got home WHEW!!!!
Karen does not do heat well....
I was so tired after I went back to bed and slept till 4:30pm.....

First Friday was a Blast!

Thank you everyone for coming down to First Friday!  I enjoyed talking to all of you...

The vibe was very positive and upbeat!!!  I left that night charged up and very happy to talk to many very interesting people... I also have some VERY EXCITING PROJECTS IN THE WORKS!!!!

Thank you also to some of my collectors for stopping by and purchasing some wonderful pieces....

Finishing up another painting today.....figures its gonna take a couple more nights of painting to get all the details in....coming together though.

They just lie.......I will just tell you outright.....YES I am nervous....
Any artist is....we all anticipate and such...and its nerve racking....

And hopefully people will like or love it...either way I enjoyed the heck out of doing it....

Up all night painting......Weird thing is not tired......

My back is killing me!!!!
But this is the only thing making me forget about the disks in my back.....
I sketched her this morning...Inking her now....
She is a showgirl laying down on some Ostrich feather boa....

I did a little more to her I have some more boa's that are going to come in the picture....more photos to come...
I bet all artists have backs that kill them......including me

I think this is it for tonight I have to go ice my back....

Ok I went to the Vegas Strip for NEW YEARS!!!
It was crazy!!!!
I saw car accidents all over....
Crazy Parties....
But the cops were on the ball with all the people...
Even though I was out late last night I still have energy to work some paintings today...
